I just purchased this phone 2 weeks ago and exchange it for a the same one but in different color within 2 days. I was having problems with the 1st one I bought. It kept restarting itself and now I'm having the same problem with the one I exchange it for. It happens most when I'm on AIM. When I tap on CLOSE CONVERSATION it sometimes shuts off the phone and restarts itself. Does anyone have this problem and how to fix it? What is it causing it to shut off like that?

I work for sprint tech support and I can tell you that the only things you can do to remedy this are Flash your phones software at a store, or call aol about their mobile version of aim. As a side note if you call tech support ask for Advanced Tech Support.

do a soft reset by taking out the battery and back in. If problem continues, do a system reset by taking out the battery then holding the up button while putting it back in. When it shows the time thingy you should let go of the up button if the problem continues, post it at this site

It is a board chock full of centro users.( I a one of the members)
If it continues after their talks with you, I suggest getting your centro switched with another one. Many people say they are on their second or third centro because of restting problems.
