My Cell Phone (Palm Treo) supports Yahoo Messenger, why can't I sign up from Yahoo?

I've used Yahoo messenger on my phone to send Im's to friends, but the Yahoo site won't let me set my phone up.

What do you mean it won't let you?

You can use Yahoo! Mobile. Introducing Yahoo! Go 3.0. (http:// mobile.yahoo.com) to access the Messenger feature.

You can also download the Yahoo2Go program, but it will only do your e-mail and give you weather, news... things of that sort. It doesn't have the Messenger feature.
