I bought a Samsung Hue and have Alltel. Songs on my SD card won't work as...

...ringtones like my old phone did? On my last phone I just downloaded MP3 to the card and was able to store them as ringtones on the phone but can't on this one. The songs will play on the phone but can't be used for ringtones. How do I get songs to work as ringtones on this phone?
