Sprint Samsung A900M, pictures from phone to computer?

I have had the Samsung A900M from Sprint, and will shortly get a new phone. I need to know how to get pictures from My Albums on the phone to my computer. I have the USB cord that came with it and have connected with no success on how to upload the pictures. Please inform on how to get pictures from phone to computer, thanks.
