I have a Sanyo M1 Cell phone and when I charge it, it goes to a green light, but

still has low battery? I will put it on the charger and it will go to a green light pretty quickly but when i look at the display screen it will only have one or two blocks of battery filled. When i take it off of the charger it loses battery life very quickly and i tried everything to fix it.
