Default Why do cell phone service providers in the U.S. refuse to carry Sony Ericsson phones?

My past 2 phones have been Sony Ericssons'. I love Sony Ericsson phones do to their beautiful color screens and wonderfully laid out buttons and menus. Now I can't find any cell phone carrier that will sell this wonderful brand. WHY?????
