Can a Cingular phone be used on Verizon?

I was about to switch to Verizon, and was curious if I could take my A707 Sync over to Verizon?

Verizon and Sprint are CMDA
Cingular and T-mobile are GSM
Cingular and Verizon are incompatible

Go to ebay or the retailer of the phone then purchase the phone for your carrier, depending on your carrier

I don't think the SIM card will be compatible nor will the service. You would have to join Cingular (AT&T) and they would provide a phone as you agreed to a two year plan with them.

Nope, Cingular has their own GSM network they run on and they use SIM cards in all of their phones. Verizon Wireless is a CDMA network and does not use SIM cards, but Verizon does have their own programming on their phones, so you would not be able to do that.
