Do the new att sim cards work in the cingular phones?

I am thinking that they dont, but has anyone tried this before?

Cingular is now.........THE NEW AT&T.

Well, that's what they said on my last bill.

Yes it should perfectly. A at&t sim card should work in a Cingular phone. A sim card registers the phones Serial number to the network. If the serial number is in Cingulars system it should work........ Cingulars and at&t's sim cards register to the same towers.
