Will Alltel Activate a phone from T-Mobile?

I cuurently have service with Alltel and want to be able to use a Blackberry Pearl from T-Mobile.

1)Will Alltel be able to make it work? [I know that Alltel uses CDMA and T-Mobile is GSM]

2) What steps do I have to take?
