Okay, awhile back (Roughly 3 1/2 years) my Dad gave my brother and i two cell phones (one a peice). Well, he got the nice ones for free with a two year contract, but stopped making payments 1 1/2 years into the contract. Is there anyone I could sell those phones on ebay and someone be able to activate them? I know if they were AT&T/Cingular phones it wouldn't be a problem, but Alltel doesn't use SIM cards. I just don't want to sell someone a phone, and them not be able to use it since we owed Alltel money (They wrote off the balance).

Well you would have to sell it as an Alltel phone. But if the phone is 3 1/2 years old and it was one of the free phones you won't get anything for them. Maybe $20 if your very lucky.

sprint doesnt use sim cards either neither does verizon and i know both cell phone companies will not let others activate there phones until the balance is paid
