how do i play games on my boostmobile phone?

i brought a phone from my friend that was brand new...i decided to buy a game online and it downloaded and everything...i went to go look for it on the java center or what ever and it wasnt there...i had ask my friend why it didnt work and what not and he told me that he deleted the java application or what ever its called so he would end up with more space...can some one please tell me how do i download it again?
