I have my suspicions my boyfriend is not being faithful. He is being private about his phone...and when I'm around he won't even answer his calls.

Stop being so nosey.

That doesn't sound good...but rather than snooping into his personal business, let him know that it bothers you and what it makes you think when he acts so secretive.
If he doesn't give you a satisfactory response, then dump him because he can't be trusted. I think you two need to have a face to face conversation about the phone problem.

When the two of you are out together. Tell him that your battery on your phone is dead and ask to borrow his for an important phone call. You can check his call history and text messages from there, but I don't know how you would figure out what his code is.

Another option would be to simply confront him the next time his phone rings and he doesn't answer it. Just say, "who's that?" or "why don't you answer that?" You could ask him why he's being so secretive from that point...

ok so i wont tell you leave him cause you dont trust him. i'm sure a lot of people on here are with someone who they dont trust and they're still there!! anyway i've been in the same situation but no with phones but with emails. to find his code you really need to look for clues in what he's told you. for example maybe he used his last of his social for his code, or his birthday maybe? or yours? to get it you have to actually have ur hands on the phone. well maybe you shouldn't act like you want to see it then when he's asleep or in the shower grab it. i found my ways around and got my info. do you know his atm pin number, maybe its the same... yea i'm sneaky too!!

If your so concerned about it why not just ask your boy friend why he is so private about his phone. Trying to break into his phone is not the way a relationship should be like. Its a lack of trust. If you feel you can't trust him enough to the point that you want to invade his phone then your relationship does not add up to much and you might think about just moving on if talking with him does not help.
